This dial clock is in beautiful original condition. Having been purchased from a private collector they have enjoyed it for many years and decided to sell it to make room for a clock they purchased from us. The clock has been very well looked after and serviced when necessary. The stunning 12 inch cream convex dial is in fabulous order with no signs of damage or distress with equally original blued steel hands. The single fusee movement has been fully serviced and cleaned by Westmorland Glass of chesterfield. While cleaning an inscription of previous work was visible to see. It reads A Randell, Burnham 5/8/1890 (cleaned & new line) a lovely bit of history to the clock. Alexander Mowat of Bath is recorded as working from 1818-1866 formally known as Franklin & Mowatt recorded from 1810-1842 which leads me to believe Alexander went his own way after a short period. I would date this clock circa 1830.

The case is in fantastic order and as original as when new. The case has benefitted from a sympathetic clean and a protective waxing to future preservation.

I have tried my best to include as much detail as i can in my photos but as I’m not a professional photographer viewing is more than welcome to truly appreciate the clock. Viewing is by appointment only with at our showroom or i can come to your home for you to view institute before making a decision to purchase or not.
